My Visitors

IN WHOSE NAME?

I opened my outlook this morning to find four mails from a director in my office. A cold shiver ran down my spine. A hundred questions ran through my mind.

“What did I do wrong?”

“Am I in trouble?”

“What could be the issue?”

Don’t laugh at me.  How would you feel if you logged into you mailbox early in the morning to find four mails from your Managing Director – the highest authority in your company – personally addressed to you?

It was only when I read the subject that peace was restored to my soul.

Earlier in the morning, we met on the corridor and he informed me that he would want me to work with him on an energy project that was coming up by the end of the month. He told me to instruct his Executive Assistant (EA) to forward all mails from a particular person to my inbox to help me prepare for the project. I and his EA scanned through his inbox together and we forwarded the mail. It was when I saw the subject that I realised they were the mails  forwarded to me by his EA.

Just as the realization came upon me I heard my instructor’s voice in my heart saying to me

“Imagine the instruction was given directly to his EA without you knowledge and she included the following line in the forwarded mail…

“I observed you came in late today (I actually came in some minutes late). This is unacceptable! I would like you to send a report to Human Resources explaining why. Also include an undertaking not come in late again”.

What do you think would happened to you? How would your day go? You would have called up your counsellor and other executives you know to plead your case. It would have unsettled you greatly. But you would have had no option but to obey the instruction given to you by his EA in his name… right?”

“Yes…”

I responded.

“That exactly is the privilege you have been given as a son of the Kingdom. You are now a child of God and have been given the name of JESUS – the name above all other names… the name at whose mention every knee must bow and every tongue confess… the name that makes sick bodies be healed and demons to flee. You have been given the father’s user-name and password. You can now send emails out from his email box.”

He paused to let the profound truth sink in. Then he continued.

“Now his EA would not do anything out of character using his email box would she?”

“No she wouldn’t.”

I responded.

And if she does, what would happen to her?”

“She would be fired immediately it is discovered!”

I shot back with much thinking.

“This is exactly the way it is in The Kingdom. You have been given a name that is above all names because you are now a child of God. It has been given to you on trust. You must only use it for things which are in agreement and in consonance with the personality and character of The Father. This was why he said

“…if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you would be my spokesman.” (Jeremiah 15:19)

Anything you send out in those mails would be acknowledge as from The Father Himself. If you use His name outside this context you would be fired. Your log-in credentials would be taken away from you. Your authority to use the name would be revoked. You may still send mails but the world would know that you are your own. The result will be like the sons of Sceva who were trying to cast out a demon in Jesus name and the demon responded by asking

“… Jesus I know, Paul I know but who are you?” (Acts 19:15)

You would get a very good beating… Now that you know the weight of this spiritual weapon which you have… go out there and make me proud.”

I smiled and was very excited about this revelation. I hope you are too! Next time you go on your knees to pray in Jesus name, picture that you are sending a mail to the situation, problem, devil, goal, etc using The Father’s mailbox. Think about the way they would respond and let your faith be strong, entertaining no doubt. When you do this, you would have fulfilled all the conditions set by JESUS to receive any request you make in his name. Remember…

“Whosoever shall say… and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.” (Mark 11:23)

God bless you.
